Meet Rita,
We are very happy to have her on our team, as Rita is the first student to choose Stepscience to complete her thesis. Rita studies Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at the Nova School of Science and Technology – New University of Lisbon. For the next 6 months Rita will be working in her project, a plant for cultivation and processing cannabis for medical applications.
She was born in Covilhã and loves Serra da Estrela. She loves singing and for the past 10 years she has been part of the musical theatre group “CCD Oriental de São Martinho – Covilhã”.
Rita considers that “the Pharmaceutical Industry is in constant and rapid evolution and is our job as engineers to embrace and promote that evolution in order to meet the need to improve people’s quality of life, minimizing the side effects as much as possible.”
