João Miguel Pancas is now Stepscience’s Pharmaceutical Operations Senior Consultant!
From Coimbra, Portugal, João has a degree in the pharmaceutical sciences from Faculdade de Farmácia, at Universidade de Coimbra and a Post-Graduation in Operational Management, from Porto Business School.
João describes himself as a foodie, who appreciates wine, and he is beginning a project of his own, and playing sports – despite lacking the time -, he really enjoys spending time with family and friends, having a knack for networking!
As for his curriculum, João spent 17 years working in the pharmaceutical industry, beginning as manufacturing supervisor at Farmalabor, all the way to head of production and packaging at Bluepharma. João then made the decision to transition to the medical cannabis business, beginning from scratch as production manager at Tilray, up until 2022, when he decided to finally embrace his role as a consultant in the business of medical cannabis, working with Canapac.
As of now, João has begun a partnership with Stepscience, being responsible for “the implementation and coordination of the GMP manufacturing activities at one of our clients in order to achieve the GMP certification and then start all the Manufacturing operations”. Being a new project, Stepscience will support the design, development and implementation of all activities that are related to pharmaceutical activities, so that afterwards, Stepscience can manage all operations for the daily activities. Also, João will participate in any other project that may benefit from his expertise.
João is indeed a great ally for Stepscience’s goals, having a mindset for fulfilling objectives and delivering the best solutions, “my main goals are always to present the best result for the tasks and challenges that are assigned to me. I believe that opportunities appear based on the results of our previous work.”.
