Guilherme Reis is Stepscience’s new Process Engineer!

From Seixal and with a degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, from FCT-UNL, Guilherme has recently joined Stepscience, aiming to apply all the skills he obtained with his degree.

Through his path, Guilherme has had the opportunity to be in two trainee programs, going through the areas of food quality, process engineering – where he supervised the operations that occurred in the facility, and identified possible anomalies with the equipment -, and quality assurance, where Guilherme performed inspections in the compounding and filling rooms.

During his free time, Guilherme enjoys drumming, going to the gym or simply enjoying a night out.

His first impression coming into Stepscience was quite good, “the staff, colleagues and managers were very welcoming. I felt like I was received with arms wide open”, acknowledging Stepscience’s work environment, and safety ethics. Some of his biggest strengths include “critical thinking, creativity, open-mindedness and communication skills”, aiming to be able to contribute to the decision-making and being an active contributor to Stepscience’s team.

Guilherme is hopeful that artificial intelligence will be an asset for “development of new ways of treatment for patients.”
