We are very pleased to announce our new addition to the team, Diego Lima, our new CQV & CSV Manager.
From São Paulo, Brazil, Diego took on Stepscience’s challenge, as “it presented an excellent opportunity to explore new sectors within the industry and participate in significant international projects”.
With a degree in Control and Automation Engineering, complemented by a postgraduate qualification in Project Management and Industry Management for Business 4.0, and technical training in Chemistry and Robotics. Diego’s professional journey began at his family’s metallurgical company, where he first encountered pharmaceutical components. From there, Diego managed to move into laboratory equipment maintenance for pharmaceutical companies, food companies, hospitals, and educational and research institutions – “This path led me into the pharmaceutical industry, where I’ve now worked for 14 years, gaining experience in calibration, maintenance, engineering projects, quality assurance, commissioning, equipment qualification, and computerized systems validation”.
At Stepscience, Diego will manage our CQV & CSV teams and, currently, he’s involved in “important standardization projects and helping clients adapt to the evolving medical cannabis guidelines in Europe”.
Diego highly values a healthy work environment, where work-like balance is a reality, so for him, Stepscience is a representation of such characteristics, a company where everyone can actively contribute to a balanced and healthy work environment filled with team engagement – “the remarkable commitment of the multicultural and multidisciplinary teams – this diversity enriches discussions, fosters innovative solutions, and drives projects forward efficiently.”
During a typical day off, Diego will take the time to start his day in beautiful scenery, with a good breakfast, spending the rest of the day just getting to know new places, taking the time to relax, or maybe doing sports.
Diego is a challenge-oriented person. Who feels fulfilled by being able to complete new goals in his personal and professional life. Right now, Diego wants to improve his business English and keep achieving new professional certifications.
As for the future, “I envision a future where AI increasingly handles routine tasks, creating space for advancements in precision medicine and expanded use of additive manufacturing technologies, such as 3D printing.”
