Beatriz Sousa has recently joined Stepscience. She is full of excitement to join and contribute to the team!
Beatriz is from Almada, Portugal, and has just recently completed her Master’s degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Nova School of Sciences and Technology (FCT Nova), having written her thesis while at the Quality Department of an Oilseeds Company.
She describes herself as a very sociable and approachable person – priding herself on her ability to create positive connections and fostering a welcoming environment for everyone around her. During her days off, Beatriz enjoys spending time outdoor, by either exploring the nature, playing sports, or just enjoying the time with her dog – hobbies that she combines with her passion for photography and traveling and, naturally, a passion for the sciences! When asked about one of her favorite trips, she immediately thought about Bali, “I was captivated by the enchanting blend of rich culture, breathtaking landscapes and amazing cuisine”, but it was the island’s spiritual essence that added a profound dimension to her experience.
Beatriz is “eager to be a part of a company that not only values its employees, but also offers ample opportunities for career growth and development.” Company culture, work environment, collaboration, respect, and fairness are the key elements Beatriz values the most at work.
Beatriz is now part of our CSV Team, where she hopes to contribute with her “expertise in ensuring compliance and reliability of computerized systems.”, recognizing that Stepscience is at the forefront of advancement in pharmaceutical and engineering solutions – and she wants to be a contributor! At Stepscience, she expects to have the opportunity to engage in projects that provide her with intellectual stimulation, hoping she can make an immediate and productive impact.
As for the future of Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences, she foresees it as promising.
