Meet Sara,
Sara Perdigão has 23 years old and she is from Redondo, Alentejo. She holds a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering. In between, Sara summed experience in clinical analysis and in winery production. She is now embracing her first professional experience as a Junior CQV Consultant at Stepscience.
For Sara “team-mates that create a healthy and enjoyable work environment are very important in a company”, and she felt very blessed by “the warmest welcome and fellowship since day one”. Sara mentioned that her colleagues are “nice and amazing people, from whom I have a lot to learn”. One of the things Sara values the most at work is “team-spirit” and helping other colleagues improve.
Over the past few years, there have been new emerging technologies in the pharmaceutical field, allowing this sector to develop or improve their existing processes, Sara sees these technology changes as the future of the pharmaceutical industry, giving the possibility to, for example, the “development of new therapies capable of improving people’s quality of life”. Sara would like to see the pharmaceutical industry betting more on sustainability, particularly in waste management, but also in the research and development of new biotechnological processes rather than chemical synthesized traditional processes to produce drugs.
Not everything has to do with work, Sara enjoys “walking, traveling and sports (especially swimming)” and appreciates the small things in life like “going to the beach” and a “having a nice Alentejo meal, along with good wine”. Sara also shared that she is an animal lover, her parents have a dog in Alentejo and she also wants to adopt a cat of her own.
At Stepscience Pharma & Engineering, Sara aspires to, “continue to develop skills, improve my technical and scientific knowledge, and achieve success professionally”. Sara would also like to have a professional experience outside of Portugal, where? Who knows..?.
Sara considers herself to be “determined, persistent, committed, hardworking, organized, and good at working in a team”. We found her personality to be a fit for our team and we are sure that Sara will find success alongside us.
