We are happy to welcome to our team Rita Gonçalves, our new intern!
She is now finishing her master’s degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering at FCT-UNL. Having chosen Stepscience to learn and grow professionally while working on her thesis, having become our new process engineer trainee. On her day to day, Rita mostly goes to the gym, valuing sports as her most favourite hobby. Plus, just enjoying time with her family and friends, enjoying all the new restaurants or simply traveling.
Rita is particularly excited for the work she is now developing; she is working on the “entire conceptual phase of a new factory, from market analysis to construction, including process design, layout, instrumentation and control, and equipment sizing”.
Rita is really looking forward to growing professionally and, at Stepscience she immediately felt the team was very welcoming and helpful in allowing her to pursue this growth – “I believe teamwork, diversity and integrity are key fundamentals in Stepscience”. Rita describes herself as a great team worker, flexible, organized and easy to communicate with. We do hope that our team is able to give you plenty experiences in the world of pharmaceutical and life sciences, so that you may fulfil your ambitions.
For Rita, “Advances in artificial intelligence, personalized medicine, and biotechnology are revolutionizing drug developments, making treatments more effective and tailored to the individual needs, such as the ones I am developing on my thesis”, and she is very keen in supporting this industry, providing the best results in her power for Stepscience’s clients, improving efficiency and accessibility to healthcare. Her biggest motivation is to produce “work that makes a positive impact on society”.
