Meet Kárita,
Kárita Jardim Cavalcante was born in Tocantins, a state in the north of Brazil. She graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Unievangélica and she holds a MBA in Industry Management from IPOG. She is a professional with more than 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance in the Pharmaceutical Industry, with expertise in Validation. She recently joined our team as CQV Consultant.
Kárita has chosen Stepscience Pharma & Engineering as the company is looking into the future and innovation. She has built her professional career within the same company, where she has progressed from an associate role to a coordination position. In the past few years, Kárita has developed curiosity to contact other companies and to get to know other work cultures. She believes Stepscience will provide her with a new universe of possibilities. At Stepscience, Kárita has found a company that cares about the well-being of its employees. She values the effective communication among the team, as she feels that everyone’s opinion and experience matters. At Stepscience, there are people with different knowledge, who are kind, respectful, and who share a collaborative culture. “An environment with a lot of opportunities to exchange knowledge, to learn under new topics in Health, like the medical use of cannabis”.
Currently she is focused on learning more about regulatory requirements for Active Substances Manufacturing. Also, Kárita wants to gain more knowledge on continuous manufacturing for drug products, as she considers “this will be the future of the Pharmaceutical Industry, in which we will obtain a process with online monitoring, reflecting in less deviations and more productivity and quality”. In the short term, Kárita wants to develop her career, becoming a specialist in CQV activities and a reference for her colleagues on future collaborations. She foresees herself as a team leader, helping and motivating people. Kárita would also like to provide training in CQV activities. Her greatest strengths are “curiosity, adaptation to change, and training others”.
Her hobbies include watching football and studying history. On a day off she would walk her dog, try new flavors, and learn new topics. She loves to travel, to get to know new people, cultures, and routines. Kárita dreams about having a motorhome to travel with her family. One year ago, she visited Portugal for holidays, and she found it would be possible to build her career in another country. “I am very happy that I achieved this goal and that I am part of this amazing team. Without a doubt, this is the biggest challenge of my career, so far. “
